Netflix has given a series order for a live-action adaptation of Jeff Lemire's post-apocalyptic Vertigo Comics title "Sweet Tooth", focusing on animal/human hybrids, produced by Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey and written, directed by Jim Mickle:
"...'Gus', a boy with 'deer' features, lives a quiet life deep in the woods with his father.
"He learns many things, from medical care to religious prophecy.
"Though he loves his religious father, he yearns to escape, joining forces with a family of hybrid/humans to find answers behind the apocalypse, only to discover a vast conspiracy that forces him to question his very existence."
